YearCompass

A great tool to transition into the new year

First of all I want to wish you all a happy new year! 2021 was a challenging year for me, full of growth opportunities and challenges and it somehow passed by in a blur.

Only when I sat down to have a closer look at the past year, I realized how much had happened, and how much I have grown over the past year. It can be so easy to just move on, getting caught up in the grind of the new year right away.

The YearCompass has been the tool that has helped me to actually take the time to do that.

Here are some of the questions and prompts you will find:

Looking back

  • "The wisest decision I made..."

  • "The biggest surprise of the year..."

  • "The biggest surprise of the year..."

Looking forward:

  • "I am ready to let go of these three things."

  • "These three people will be my pillars during rough times."

  • "I will connect with my loved ones in these three ways."

I have found this tool three years ago and I have used it ever since to take a look back at the past year and a look forward into the new year. I really enjoy the ritual of going back to my previous YearCompasses as that gives me a clear picture of where I was and what has changed.

The year compass comes as a free booklet that you can fill out digitally or print it.

You can find the tool here: https://yearcompass.com/

Enjoy your year review! Lots of love, Philipp
